subnautica: below zero map size

The map in Below Zero is about half as big as the Subnautica map and the ocean is half as deep. I have not played the first Subnautica game, but i plan to, depending on how good this one is. And will be expanded as updates come out? © Valve Corporation.

It's not 1/5 or 1/4 like some people are whining about but yeah, it's not much above half the size. I did prefer the Seamoth though, it just felt sportier.

I have seen many people talking about this and saying that the map is much smaller compared to the first subnauticas map. There is a lot of hyperbole surrounding the map size. And I am confused, Is it CURRENTLY smaller compared to the Subnautica map? Map size is very important to me because i love to explore. Seatruck with 0 or 1 modules attached is basically a Seamoth equivalent, it's only a little bigger and slower, and it's faster whilst using the temporary boost upgrade.

But what do you really The map is approximately 4000 meters across and the deepest part story-wise is just shy of 1500 meters down. If you want the Seatruck to be a Seamoth 2.0 download and install the "Unslow Seatruck" mod from Nexus.

If you want to build a large base and / or have a good supply of ion cubes the prawn is very helpful. Especially with the booster.
