Still, like most expedition ships, the focus here is directed outward rather than inward, rendering Bremen's rather drab interior and uninspired decor irrelevant when juxtaposed with the majestic scenery that can be found just beyond the ship's panoramic windows. Everything on Bremen is geared toward one goal: To give passengers the opportunity to see some of the most amazing sights the world has to offer. )With her black hull and prominent mustard-color funnel (placed rather far forward), she certainly looked a distinctive and very substantial vessel, though of course, being in the 32,000-ton range, she was small in comparison to today's behemoths.Following her service with NGL, she sailed as the Regina Magna for Chandris Line. I didn't really know any of that. You certainly don't get service like that on any of the mass market lines today, though from what I've read, the Deutschland (Peter Deilmann ) and the current Europa (Hapag-Lloyd) still offer a very traditional and very German high-end service. The only distinct personal memory I have of the old Bremen is of standing on her promenade deck one evening before she sailed from the Manhattan pier. :)
The fitness center has cardio equipment and offers great ocean views.

I do plan on doing a transatlantic crossing in the near future - wonder how the dancing will be on that cruise?HOW WONDERFUL...that you have those great memories!!! Be first, share your experience! Bremen is some 60 km (37 mi) south from the Weser mouth on the North Sea. Cruise Lines “A – O” All of its fleetmates were also due to receive the certificate by Hapag-Lloyd’s 2018 Arctic season. This is a website from a former crewmember of the bremen, were you may find a lot of photos and also interesting information about the history and the fate of this fabulous ship. Now our family cruises often, but the memories of the classy Bremen will always stay with me. But, seriously, some warm colors and something other than a few lonely flower prints as decoration might do wonders. Captain Behrend, in fact, confessed to making as many as 24 port calls on an itinerary scheduled for 16. Jan. 15,1960 first cruise. Draped in neutral colors, the atmosphere never distracts from the meal and conversation at hand, and the room's dark wood accents and simple linens produce a conservative and very dignified experience.
