Perhaps you could look into a mini-series or a made for tv movie, instead of once monthly installments.

I like that the dilemma is usually resolved within an episode or two and doesn't linger on for the whole season.

As it turns out, my plans fell through, possibly my decision was indirectly influenced by the show. I didn't start watching this program right away when it started on TV because it conflicted with another show that I normally watched but later I caught an episode of it and I loved it right away.

But, Dick Wolf, as with LAW & ORDER, knows a great concept when he sees it and can get you hooked just by one episode. Not Impressed. It is just so addictive.
